The “INOVA” program has two very significant goals. The first is to activate, motivate, and train long-term unemployed individuals to obtain employment that would enable a better quality of life. The second, equally important goal, is to create an innovative and sustainable model of cooperation between labor market institutions, social protection institutions, educational organizations, specialized organizations, and experts in order to systematically address the issue of unemployment.

A call has been opened for all long-term unemployed individuals, as well as for business companies that wish to join this project in order to form a workforce on the market that employers truly need.

The program offers comprehensive support to candidates seeking employment through the following activities:

  • Profiling of candidates to identify their skills and interests.
  • Professional guidance and support throughout the entire employment process.
  • Training sessions to be held at educational institutions and with employers.
  • The opportunity to choose a job that matches their skills and preferences.

These activities are implemented within the EU for Employment project, funded by the European Union with 4 million euros and Sweden with an additional 1 million euros, and carried out by the International Labour Organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“On behalf of the City Administration of Laktaši, we are proud of our partnership in the ‘INOVA’ project. The ‘INOVA’ program aims to improve the employability of long-term unemployed individuals by providing them with the opportunity to acquire new skills and find a job that suits their abilities,” said Goran Vujić, Head of the Department for Local Development and Digital Transformation.
