The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship in the Government of the Republika Srpska, Vojin Mitrović, officially opened the Third International Conference on Crafts and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska. The conference brings together artisans and entrepreneurs from both the Republika Srpska and the region, with the aim of promoting the importance of crafts and entrepreneurship, exchanging experiences, and creating a favourable environment for the development of this sector.

The conference, organised by the Crafts and Entrepreneurship Chamber of the Banja Luka Region under the patronage of the President of Republika Srpska and with the support of the City of Laktaši, was attended by the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Banja Luka, Goran Račić, the Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Branislava Simanić, as well as numerous guests from Republika Srpska and the region.

The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, Vojin Mitrović, emphasised that the task of the Government of Srpska and the relevant ministry is to support sole entrepreneurs and business entities to facilitate their operations. He recalled that last year, the Law on Sole Entrepreneurs and the new Law on Incentives were adopted, simplifying both the registration procedure and business operations for sole entrepreneurs. He highlighted that Republika Srpska has 26,000 registered entrepreneurs employing approximately 40,000 workers.

The President of the Crafts and Entrepreneurship Chamber of the Banja Luka Region, Žana Arsić, stated that the conference gathered 250 participants and noted that the host city, Laktaši, is the regional centre for this economic sector.

The President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Banja Luka, Goran Račić, highlighted the strong cooperation with the Crafts and Entrepreneurship Chamber of the Banja Luka Region in developing specific projects and measures to improve the business environment.
