The seminar “Intellectual Property for Business Entities”

The Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, in collaboration with the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the projects “EU Support for Intellectual Property Rights in BiH” and “Engage, Inspire, Empower – Women in Business,” funded by the Government of Switzerland, is organizing a seminar on the topic “Intellectual Property for Business Entities.” The seminar will be held on Thursday and Friday, July 4th and 5th, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM on the first day and 10:00 AM on the second day, at the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Banja Luka, Branka Ćopića 6, Jahorina Hall.

Intellectual property is “intangible” assets, but it is often the most valuable asset of a company, which needs to be continuously improved and legally protected from potential misuse. Given the importance of intellectual property in today’s business environment and the need to raise awareness about its protection, the seminar will present thematic units related to patents, trademarks, and industrial designs, as well as the Intellectual Property Pre-diagnosis service, which has recently been introduced by the Institute for Intellectual Property as a free service for small and medium-sized enterprises. On the second day of the seminar, the thematic units will focus on copyright protection, international patent protection, intellectual property protection in the gaming industry, and artificial intelligence as a challenge and temptation for intellectual property.
