The Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation, and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) has announced the first public call for project proposals for cooperation between micro and small businesses in the border areas of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro within the Small Projects Fund (SPF) of the EmBRACE project (Enhancing MSEs Sustainable Growth and Competitiveness).

For the first time in this program area, a total of €8,725,325.36 is available from the European Regional Development Fund and IPA III, of which €3,000,000.00 is allocated for this call.

Through the EmBRACE project, financial support will be provided for the development and adaptation of business models, products, services, and processes, with a strong emphasis on promoting local micro and small businesses. The focus will be on introducing product or process innovations, developing pilot actions, and new business solutions, while simultaneously improving cross-border business cooperation.

European funds can be used to co-finance up to 85% of the total project value, with a maximum grant of €200,000 per small project. Each project proposal must involve cooperation between at least two (2) and a maximum of four (4) project partners or final beneficiaries from different countries in the program area. One of the partners must be based in the European Union. Cooperation between partners from all three (3) countries of the program area will be awarded an additional 5 points.
